THE NEIGHBORHOOD FILM FESTIVAL

Multi-disciplinary artists Alex Bush, Lucas Castro-Cruz, Theo Frorer, Laura Galindo, E.B. Hinnant, Michelle Kariuki, Karma Masselli, and Emmy Weissman began the summer of ‘22 dreaming up something to inspire their creative practices, incentivize collaboration with their surrounding network of artists, and prioritize joyful learning. The rest of the year was spent realizing this dream. Five projects of different shapes and sizes came together for their grand premiere at the Neighborhood Film Festival on December 18th, 2022. Hosted by Michelle Kariuki & Keyana Hemphill, featuring the artwork of Jacqueline Brockel, the evening celebrated these new works in style. A perfect night was summoned at Purgatory BK with DJ Gourd to dance us out into the night.
